Come celebrate US and Cape Verdean Independence Day with Brockton FC.
Brockton FC hopes to win back to back USPL NE Premier Championship when they host Fall River FC in Revere this Saturday in the UPSL Final. The winner will advance to host the winner of American Premier Division in the national round kf 32 for a chance to play in the Northeast Conference Final in the national round if 16. Of course the ultimate goal is to qualify for the National Final 4 which presents the glorious chance for a national championship which o New England has managed to do.
Brockton FC and Fall River FC are no strangers to each other in state competition but this is their first match up in the UPSL. Brockton Will certainly be aware that Fall River had the better of Brockton in previous encounters in state tornaments.
For the fans it will certainly be an exciting match with two teams each representimg rival cities in sports. Both Brockton and Fall River have deep rooted immigrant communities from the portuguese speaking diasporas with strong soccer tradition dating back from the time of LASA (Luso American Sócer Assiciation) which was for some decades the strongest soccer league in the East Coast.
